Craft Saturdays

11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Join us in the Education Room for fun craft projects from 11:00am until 2:00pm on the above scheduled dates.  This is free with admission and open to children of all ages.

Community Service hours can be earned by volunteering for Craft Saturdays.   Volunteers must be at least 14 years old.  Please call 636-530-0076 ext. 12 for details.

 
Mother's Day Brunch

A bountiful blending of breakfast and brunch buffets.

Dine on the beautiful Emerson Lakeside Terrace.

Adults: $32.95

Children (ages 4 to 12):  $17.95

Children (age 3 and under):  Free

Each class observes and investigates the uniqueness of the animal and its abilities to protect, move and feed.

Ages 5-8

Each class will be $16 for Garden members and $18 for non-members

 

Wednesday, June 18, 10:00-12:00  Creepy Crawlers

In cooperation with the Humane Society of Missouri

Ticks, ear mites and dung beetles, OH MY!  We'll get up close and personal with these pesky creepy crawlers!  Join us for this crash course in entomology and you'll be buggin to learn more!

Ages 10-14

The per child fee for this class will be $13 for Garden members and $15 for non-members.

 

Wednesdays, July 9 & July 16, 10:00-11:00  Butterfly Display:  Pins and Mounts

Practice the most useful skill to any entomologist and learn to mount butterflies for display.  Pinning completed during the first class with mounting during the second class.

Ages 8-12

Each class will be $16 for Garden members and $18 for non-members

Each class is $16 for Garden members and $18 for non-members.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.  The cost of the class would then include both the child and the adult.

$180 for Garden members and $200 for non-members

Children entering first to sixth grades

Elementary age children will draw on diverse resources of The Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House and St. Louis County Parks:  Faust Park to learn natural science and its processes.
