Description: | This is one of the largest swallowtail butterflies we display here at the Butterfly House. The common name refers to the yellow colors found on the female. The male is black with whitish-blue hindwings and has tails. The female has tails, but is black and white with some yellow color. They love nectar and can be seen feeding from our various large clerodendron species of flowers. |
