Description: | Closely related to the Malachite butterfly, this species exhibits the same sorts of behaviors. They are what might be referred to as an edge species. This means they are often found patrolling the edge of forested habitats, open glens or stream cuts. The males will perch and wait for females to arrive and will drive other males out of their territory. They are often found drinking on the wet paths. |
