Interns will learn about teachable moments, how to vary a presentation based on various audiences, and more about developing fun and interactive presentations.
The primary responsibilities include: handle live invertebrates after proper training, research and study facts and information about various invertebrates to present brief formal and informal talks to the Butterfly House guests, and invite guests to enjoy the Butterfly House activities and attractions.
Qualified candidates will possess a friendly and inviting personality, a desire to interact with audiences of all ages and abilities, and professional public presentation skills. An Animal Show intern is an energetic, out-going person and is comfortable handling invertebrates while presenting information to a public audience. Become a part of the "Bug Bureau of Investigations" team, as the program is titled. |
